The Estate Department operates under the supervision of the Deputy Director (Administration) and is headed by the Estate Officer. It plays a pivotal role in managing the overall security, safety, and maintenance of the institute’s facilities, ensuring that all infrastructure remains well-organized, secure environment and operational at all times.
One of the department’s primary responsibilities is to ensure the security and safety of the institute. This includes monitoring the premises, enforcing safety protocols, and taking preventive measures to protect men and material.
Additionally, the Estate Department is responsible for the maintenance of buildings, equipment, and other facilities. Routine repairs and upkeep are handled by the department. The department also oversees the allotment of vehicles, staff quarters, and guest houses. This involves the systematic allocation of vehicles for official use, the fair distribution of residential quarters to eligible staff, and the management of guest houses for visitors and dignitaries.
Moreover, the Estate Department plays a crucial role in coordinating logistical support during various activities and events at the institute. This includes providing the necessary facilities and resources for official events, programs, and ceremonies, ensuring they are conducted efficiently.
